My favourite relative

People say that the family is not chosen and it is true. However, we can choose 

our friends and that's what makes them special, specially when a friend becomes 

just another one of your family...

I PRESENT YOU MY BEST FRIENDS AND SISTER: Martina

 

I met Martina when I was 13 years playing volleyball at school, and we became friends immediately. 

The first time I went to her house, we realized that we lived very similar things and we 

had a similar sense of humour.

We became friends in two months we, but the following year she traveled to live with her 

family to Argentina (She is argentinian). However, we remain friends despite the distance.

Now, she comes every summer to chile, and she stays with me in my house, 

and she became a member of my family:

A sister to me

a sister to my brothers also

and a daughter to my parents

I can trust her, laugh, sing, shout, dance, mourn with her, and every time she comes,

it's like she never left, because our connection is not change and will never change!

My future career

I´m in first year of my course of studies and in the future I would like to work in a clinic, with smaller animals like dogs, cats and maybe exotic animals too. 

In the future, I would like to have a clinic with different specialties of veterinary medicine, as neurology, kinesiology, dermatology, etc... And all specialties necessary for good care.
I also like to have alternative therapies such as acupuncture, bach flowers remedies, etc...
I think homeopathy  is a  natural and healthy way to combat pathologies that can affect animals, both physically and psychologically.

I would like to specialize in animal psychology and working with alternative therapies such as Bach flowers, because I think the physical health depends on the mental health, 

When I finish my studies, I want to continue studying, maybe abroad, but before that I would like to give me a break to travel with my friends, and maybe know Africa...

In the picture you can appreciate me and my best friends, enjoying our summer in Algarrobo. I like this picture because when I see it, I remember my summer last year. I really enjoyed it, with my family and my friends, on the beach, partys, sun, people... I LOVE IT! 

The photo was taken by no one, because we programed the camera to take a lot of pictures in 2 minutes, to appear all of us in the photo. 

When the picture was taken, we were installing them in the cabin, because we had just arrived at the beach 'Algarrobo'.

 

Why a Vet?

I decided that I would be a veterinarian when I was a child. I said that I wanted to be A DOCTOR OF PUPPIES. All my life I've been an animal lover:  I caught frogs in my southern house, I played with my dog all day, etc...

Then, when I grow up, I discovered my passion for biology, so I started to think to study veterinary medicine as a real option. But finally, at the last minute I decided to study biology because My family told me that the race was similar and I would earn more money as a veterinarian. I enrolled in biology at Universidad de Chile, and in less than two months, I confirmed that I should be a veterinarian, like I always wanted.

Now, I am really happy because I am studying that I want to study all my life, and I love it, and I love my faculty and all the people I've met here. 

I have a passion to help animals, as these are very vulnerable to abuse, neglect and disease. Moreover, they can not express their ailments as humans, so it is much more complicated...

My iPhone

My favourite piece of technology object is my Iphone, because it keeps me connected with people all time, like my family and friends. I can talk to my friends when I walk in the street, when I'm at the dentist or college, etc..

I can do other things too, like talk by whatsapp, or check my e-mail from the iphone, without having to go to a computer; I can listen to music when I walk, like an mp3 and take pictures, like a photographic camera; I can find places with GPS, etc...

Also, there are numerous applications of music, entertainment, businnes, photography, sports and dfiferents utilities like a calendar mobile, a flashlight and to see the weather, etc.

Anyway, for me is very important my iPhone, I can't leave my house without it, I'm used to being always connected, listening music on the street, find places with the GPS, take pictures at any time...

                                            I love it !

Domestic Dog

1. Domestic Dog is a mammal animal and  they have a omnivore diet.

 

2. I like this animal because they are a very friendly and loyal with us. For example,  my dog is like a
member of my family and I am sure that he feel the same, because he is so inteligent and affective whit
us.

3. Domestic dog is important in the animal kingdom in a very special way; they are not the king of the jungle like the lion, but they have a role so important too. Domestic dogs are very important for the humans principally, because we need them for many things, like affection, company and sometimes even like guide dog to blind people.

4. Dogs are not an endangered species; instead, actually canine overpopulation is a problem in our country and to the world. 

5. - They are very loyal 
    - They have a keen sense of smell
    - Good stewards (some breeds more than others)
    - Good hunters 
    - They have proven to be very intelligent

My opinion about...

What is your opinion about same-sex marriage?

Personally, I absolutly agree with same-sex marriage, because I 
think all people could be and they could to do that 
they want while this does not harm the rest. 
Also, we can't judge people because that they 
we like or not. 
I think the beauty of nature is in diversity.






What is your opinion about violence on television?

I think that is a "show" very funny to the people who watch it in general, but in my opinion is a very stupid thing  entertaining about the life of others and them misfortunes. We should be use our time best and live our lives.

What is your opinion about the Chilean tradition called 'mechoneo'?

 In my opinion, the tradition called 'mechoneo' is 
fine if all enjoy it like a welcome to
the university, but there are people who
take advantage of the situation and  
release their anger above 'mechones',
making them a hard time.

What is your opinion about killing stray dogs?

 I think that killing stray dogs is unjustifiable, because it's not a solution to finish the overpopulation of dogs in the street, it  is only a abusive and aneffective way to end whit the problem.

What is your opinion about recycling?

I believe that recycling is absolutely necessary today, because all the resources of our planet there are going to be left. Also, we dirtied the Earth every day, and this affects us directly and  affects to biodiversity too.
